Commemorating the 76th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the Regent of Buleleng Putu Agus Suradnyana, ST as the inspector carried out the flag ceremony. The activity which took place at the Buleleng Regent's Office yard on Tuesday (17/8) was still carried out to commemorate the historical moment of Indonesia's independence even during the Covid-19 pandemic.
On that occasion, the Regent who is familiarly called PAS invited the people of Buleleng not to relax the spirit of patriotism in the face of Covid-19 that has hit this country. This is in line with the theme of the Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic, namely Indonesia, Tough Indonesia Grows.
"We have not lost the meaning of this year's commemoration, it can be seen from the enthusiasm of the people to celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia through social media," he explained
PAS continued, during this pandemic he asked the public to always maintain the health protocols to prevent Covid-19. This is for the safety of themselves and their families.
On that occasion, all elements of the Buleleng Regency Regional Leadership Communication Forum were present, leaders of regional apparatus within the Buleleng Regency Government, and leaders of Regional Owned Enterprises in Buleleng Regency.

Momentum to commemorate the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021 to always be strong in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. This was conveyed by the Coordinator for Data and Information, Ketut Suwarmawan, S.STP, M.M when giving an update on the development of the Covid-19 Buleleng, Tuesday (17/8) in his office.
Furthermore, Ketut Suwarmawan said, this independence day is a very historic one for the Indonesian people. The spirit of patriotism of the people of Buleleng in facing and fighting Covid-19 must be strong, so that we are more resilient. "If we are tough and strong in facing difficult times during the Covid-19 pandemic, surely we will come out victorious, so that we can grow and develop," he hoped.
One of our ways to be stronger and tougher in dealing with this pandemic, explained Suwarmawan, is to always be self-disciplined in applying health protocols, namely with 3M, always wearing masks, diligently washing hands with soap in running water, avoiding crowds by keeping a distance. "If we do this simple thing with discipline and full awareness, of course we can suppress the transmission of Covid-19, so that we can get out and be free from this pandemic," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the development of Covid-19 data today, Kadis Suwarmawan explained that the handling of Covid-19 according to the data was quite encouraging, because the patient was declared cured quite significantly. A total of 124 people have recovered and were allowed to go home. Meanwhile, there are only 85 confirmed cases. Cases died as many as 5 people and patients under treatment as many as 867 people.
Cumulatively, there were 9,257 new confirmed cases with details of 7,994 recovered, 396 people died, 862 people were treated in Buleleng and 5 people outside Buleleng.
Staff re-infected with Covid-19, Singaraja District Court Extends Lockdown
The Singaraja District Court has decided to extend the lockdown period. The lockdown was originally planned to last until Monday (9/8).
Due to additional cases, the court decided to extend the lockdown period until Monday (16/8) next week.
Public Relations of the Singaraja District Court I Nyoman Dipa Rudiana confirmed that the lockdown period at the Singaraja District Court was extended. The consideration is that there are additional staff who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
At first there was only one judge who tested positive. After the tracing process was carried out, it turned out that there was a staff and 2 substitute clerks who were confirmed positive.
So a total of 4 cases were found there. Of the four people who were confirmed positive, one was undergoing treatment at the Buleleng Hospital. The other three are still in self-quarantine.
"Because after tracing there were additional cases, we decided to extend the postponement of activities for the next week. So a total of two weeks of activity restrictions. Only integrated services are still open on a limited basis,” said Dipa.
Due to the extension of the lockdown period at the Singaraja District Court, several legal processes had to be postponed. One of them is the transfer of cases from the prosecutor's office. Civil and criminal cases are also pending.
Even so, the court still opens the opportunity to conduct online hearings for certain cases.
