Buleleng Task Force Unveils Village/Kelurahan Strategy to Face the Covid-19 Pandemic
Handling COVID-19 must start from the smallest area, namely the village/Kelurahan. Therefore, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force in Buleleng Regency continues to strive to encourage village preparedness in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was conveyed by the Coordinator for Data and Information, Ketut Suwarmawan, S.STP, M.M when giving an update on the handling of Covid-19 in Buleleng in his office, Wednesday (11/8).
Furthermore, Suwarmawan, who is also the Head of the Communications and Information Technology Office of Buleleng, said that villages need to be equipped, especially regarding the prevention and handling of COVID-19. Especially considering the Coronavirus which is relatively easy to spread. He also explained that several things need to be done to become a tough village/Kelurahan that is ready to face the pandemic. "The first is to develop village protocols and provide education regarding the importance of implementing the 3M health protocol," he said.
Furthermore, Suwarmawan conveyed that socialization/counseling to the Indigenous Village community in Buleleng related to environmental management must continue to be carried out. The purpose of this socialization is to provide understanding to the Indigenous Village community to maintain the environment during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Regarding the development of the Buleleng Covid-19 case today, Kadis Suwarmawan explained that as many as 133 people were confirmed to be Covid-19. On the other hand, 76 patients were declared cured. Cases of death increased by 6 people were declared dead. For active patients in treatment as many as 1,217 people.
Cumulatively, there were 8,640 confirmed cases with details of 7,064 recovered, 359 people died, 1,206 people are being treated in Buleleng, and 11 people outside Buleleng. Meanwhile
PKK Buleleng Distributes 50 Food Packages for the Community
Plt. Head of the PKK Kab. Buleleng, Mrs. Ayu Wardhani Sutjidra symbolically handed over social assistance to the people of Buleleng at the Laksmi Graha Singaraja Women's Building on Thursday (12/8).
This assistance comes from the Bali Province PKK which is aimed at the elderly, pregnant women, malnourished toddlers, persons with disabilities, and underprivileged PKK cadres.
Furthermore, Wardhani Sutjidra explained that the social assistance from the PKK in the Province of Bali includes 1 ton of rice, 30 formula milk, 1 box of masks, and 31 exp of the PKK Heart magazine for the PKK Mobilizing Team in Buleleng Regency. "Each aid is given to 20 kg of rice for 50 people, then 3 cans of canned milk per recipient of malnourished toddlers," he explained.
In addition, Wardhani added that in addition to assistance from the Provincial PKK, today was also coupled with the delivery of assistance for 1 unit of the wheelchair from the Bali Provincial Social Service. Then other assistance in the form of package packages for toddlers, vitamins, milk, fruit juices, vegetables, and hand sanitizers. “These additional aids are a tangible manifestation of the commitment and synergy of the Bali Provincial Health Office, Bali Mandara Eye Hospital, and IBI Bali. Hopefully, this synergy can continue to be carried out for the sake of our mutual concern,” he hoped.

The Buleleng Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Buleleng Regency Social Service again distributed rice package assistance sourced from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. Especially for the distribution of times targeting people who are included in the Integrated Data on Social Welfare (DTKS) for the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) program. This is a fast and precise movement for the central government and local governments to help ease the burden on people's lives during a pandemic.
The Head of Social Affairs of Buleleng, I Putu Karimaman, explained that the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs again distributed the rice package assistance program to Buleleng Regency directly through transporters. It is planned that within a week the aid will be distributed to the people who have been registered. “This time, the rice assistance was 16,745 packages with a quota of 10 kilograms for each recipient. Our nature is to facilitate the central program by coordinating with the village and sub-district authorities,” explained the Head of the Karimaman District Office when met in his office, Thursday (12/8).
His party emphasized that this assistance was specifically for beneficiary families (KPM) in the DTKS BPNT program. This is following the central decision because previously KPM recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Cash Social Assistance (BST) have also received 10 kg of rice package assistance.
When asked about the target recipients of assistance, Kadis Karimaman conveyed that all proposed KPM mechanisms were following the provisions. “There are two distribution programs, based on the name by address and proposals from villages/Kelurahan that have gone through deliberation and are deemed worthy of receiving assistance. This data is residents who enter DTKS," he said.
According to the schedule of the Social Service, today's distribution of rice package assistance goes to Gerokgak and SubdistrictsSeririt. Then on August 13th were Sukasada and Sawan Subdistricts, August 14th to KubuAddan and Tejakula Subdistricts, and August 16th to Busungbiu, Banjar, and Buleleng Subdistricts.
