Form of Support in Handling Covid-19 Buleleng, Indonesian BUMN Foundation Again Provides Assistance
As a form of support from the Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises Foundation (BUMN) to the Buleleng Regency Government in handling Covid-19 in Buleleng Regency, Buleleng Regency Secretary Gede Suyasa representing the Buleleng Regent received direct assistance of 5 oxygen concentrator units, 1 HNFC breathing apparatus, and 7,000 pcs of medical masks and cloth from the SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia in the Meeting Room of the Buleleng Regent's Office, Thursday (2/9).
After the assistance was given, the Regional Secretary Suyasa explained that the assistance provided by the Indonesian SOEs was urgently needed by the Buleleng Regency Government in dealing with Covid-19 patients, especially patients with moderate and severe symptoms.
"This is very appropriate for the Indonesian BUMN Foundation to help us ease the burden in handling Covid-19 in Buleleng Regency," he said.
Furthermore, Suyasa conveyed that in the future this assistance will not only be used to deal with Covid-19 but several other diseases that require respiratory assistance that is mild and moderate in nature, such as tuberculosis, lung disease, asthma, and others.
With that, he thanked the Indonesian BUMN Foundation for providing assistance to the Buleleng Regency Government in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian BUMN Foundation Harjawan Balaningrath said that in addition to providing assistance today, previously the Indonesian BUMN Foundation had also provided assistance to the Buleleng Regency Government through the Buleleng Hospital at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic by providing PPE, masks, face shields, and others. etc.
In addition, Harjawan Balaningrath said that the BUMN Foundation and the Buleleng Regency Government continued to work together in dealing with Covid-19 in a sustainable manner.
"We also support each other, so that we can maintain solidity, economy, and health together," he said.
Disability Vaccination Continues in East, Central, and West Buleleng
The efforts of the Buleleng Covid-19 Task Force in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 continue to be carried out, one of which is a vaccination to form herd immunity. The vaccination continues to be expanded, starting from teenagers, pregnant and lactating women, and even people with disabilities are targeted. Today the “Vaccination Festival” for people with disabilities has another chance to be vaccinated, which is divided into 3 locations. Synergize with Dinsos, Dikdukcapil, Health Office, and the Bali Province PKK with a target of 790 persons with disabilities aged 18 years and over with the Sinopharm vaccine for the first dose. This was stated by the Coordinator of the Data and Information Sector of the Buleleng Covid-19 Task Force, Ketut Suwarmawan, S.STP, M.M in his office, while giving the release of an update on the development of the Covid-19 Buleleng, Thursday (2/9).
Furthermore, said Suwarmawan, who is also the Head of Kominfosanti, "Vaccination Festivals" in three places in West, East, and Central Buleleng, namely SMKN 1 Sukasada, SMAN 1 Tejakula, and SMAN 1 Seririt with a target of 790 people.
“We are aware of their limitations. So that in the future the disability vaccination will reach the target, this activity will continue, both with this celebration program, services at the Puskesmas, and pick-up the ball. So that later people with disabilities will have the same immunity as others in order to form group immunity,” explained Suwarmawan.
Kadis Suwarmawan invites people who have families with disabilities aged 18 years and over to accompany them during vaccination. Make sure the conditions before the vaccine are stable. "Let's protect ourselves, protect our families, protect the community and protect Bali with vaccinations and Covid-19 health protocols," he urged.
Regarding the development of Covid-19 data, Suwarmawan said that the day of recovery was quite significant, as many as 75 people were declared cured, while there were only 21 confirmed cases. Then there was only 1 case of death due to Covid-19 and 340 active patients in treatment.
Meanwhile, cumulatively, there were 10,039 confirmed cases with details of 9,220 recovered, 479 people died and 340 people are being treated.
Unemployment in Buleleng Reaches 19 Thousand People
The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit almost two years has made the unemployment rate in Buleleng start to increase drastically, even based on available data, from 2021 to 2021, the unemployment rate in Buleleng has jumped to 4 percent or around 19,000 people, this condition is certainly different. Compared to conditions before the Covid-19 pandemic, the unemployment rate was only around 1 to 2 percent of the total population of Buleleng.

A result of the high unemployment rate also has an impact on the poverty rate which also increases. In 2020 the poverty rate in Buleleng reached 5.32 percent of the total population so that solutions or steps were continuously taken to create jobs for the unemployed, one of which was by opening an online job fair.
Kadisnaker Buleleng Dwi Priyanti explained, based on data from the workforce in Buleleng there were 382,712 people, while 362,851 people were absorbed in various employment sectors, so from that figure, 19,861 people were in the open unemployment category.
