The Regent of Buleleng, Putu Agus Suradnyana, ST said he was optimistic that in the next few months Buleleng tourism in particular and Bali, in general, could bounce back. This optimism was conveyed based on data on the progress of handling Covid-19 in Buleleng, which had been sloping this week. This was revealed in an interactive dialogue between the Buleleng Regent at RRI Pro 1 Singaraja Station, Thursday (9/9).

The interactive dialogue discussing "Optimism for the Rise of Bali Tourism" was a good opportunity for the Regent of Buleleng to convey the various steps that have been taken and will be taken in revitalizing the tourism sector of Buleleng.

According to the Regent who is familiarly called PAS, the Buleleng Regency Government (Pemkab) has so far made various efforts to suppress the spread of Covid-19 and overcome various impacts due to the pandemic that occurred. "We've done a lot of things to suppress the spread of this virus. Starting from socialization, enforcement of health protocol discipline to vaccination. In terms of the economy, we have also worked together to help the community, whether it's using the APBD, CSR collaboration to Urunan from all civil servants, "said the PAS Regent.

For the various strategic steps that have been taken, the Regent of PAS again invites the entire community of Buleleng to fully support all programs of the Buleleng Regency Government by always being disciplined in implementing health protocols in carrying out daily activities.

Regarding the optimism for the rise of tourism in Bali, it was explained that the tourism sector has a big influence on other sectors in Bali. Especially in Buleleng which has so many tourist destinations and is very different from other districts in Bali. "If Buleleng tourism rises, indirectly other sectors will also rise, for example, MSMEs and agriculture. Buleleng tourism is connected with other sectors, and has its characteristics of excellence,” said the Regent.

At the end of the dialogue, the Regent of PAS reiterated that his party was very optimistic that tourism in Buleleng would quickly bounce back by first completing the vaccination target. Related to that, the Buleleng Regency Government has also prepared various strategic steps in preparing for the improvement and development of the tourism sector. "We must be able to get used to living side by side with Covid-19, this needs to be properly understood by the community. So we have to complete the vaccination target first, then gradually we believe Buleleng can get through this pandemic," he concluded.

Discussing RDTR for New Bali Airport, Buleleng Regency Government and Ministry of ATR Hold FGD

The airport development plan in Buleleng Regency, entitled "Bali Baru Airport" has reached the discussion of Program Indications and Zoning Regulations for Detailed Spatial Planning (RDTR). For this reason, the Buleleng Regency Government (Pemkab) together with the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) on Thursday (9/9) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) inviting stakeholders in the area around the airport construction.

The FGD was attended by the Buleleng Regency Government, Buleleng Regency Regional Secretary Gede Suyasa, Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) Department Putu Adiptha Ekaputra, as well as several relevant regional officials.

Also in attendance were the Gerokgak Sub-district Head, Made Juartawan, Sumberklampok Perbekel, Sumberkima Perbekel, Pejarakan Perbekel, Pemuteran Perbekel, and a number of community leaders. In addition, the RDTR planning consultant team was also present to provide technical exposure.

The discussion agenda at this FGD is to reach an agreement for all parties affected by the airport construction. Be it sacred areas, forests, settlements, agricultural land, to tourist attractions on the coast.

When met after the FGD, the Regional Secretary, Suyasa, said that to reach an agreement from all parties, the discussion would not only be held at this FGD but also other FGDs with a target of 5 times.

Through these 5 FGDs, it is hoped that all stakeholders can reach an agreement on the airport's RDTR, so that further progress can proceed.

"Later, if it has been reached 5 times, and it is deemed sufficient and all stakeholders or related ministries are also fulfilled, then in the coming year, if everything has been agreed upon, it will only be stipulated as a regional head regulation," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Sadar Raharjo as the team leader of the RDTR planning consultant team said he would be committed to working on the RDTR by accommodating the interests of all parties so that an agreement was reached so that everything went in sync with the policies of the central government.

"That's why we asked the parties in Buleleng Regency from their leadership, from the sub-district to the traditional leader to the workshop, asking that what we plan is appropriate and in sync," he said.
