 Bung Karno Statue as High as 8 Meters Installed in RTH

Looking dashing and charismatic, an 8-meter-tall metal statue of Bung Karno has been installed in the Bung Karno Park's Green Open Space (RTH), Sukasada on Tuesday, (21/9).

The head of the Buleleng Regency Environment Agency, Gede Melandrat, explained that the Bung Karno statue had arrived in Buleleng three days ago. Various heavy equipment to raise the statue has been prepared optimally so that today the Bung Karno statue was successfully raised on the pedestal. "We and the contractors for three days have prepared the tools properly so that when the Bung Karno statue is raised there will be no unwanted things," he said.

The Head of Melandrat added that further work on the arrangement of Bung Karno's RTH is still on finishing the Singa Ambara Raja statue and its stage. Then the Wantilan work will also be built a statue of Bung Karno in the moment of Sungkem. "The construction of the Bung Karno Sungkem statue in Wantilan will later be used as a place for Bung Karno's historical education, film performances, and also works of art will be displayed at the Wantilan," he explained.

Buleleng, which is the "breed" of Bung Karno, has great potential to become one of the national historical tourist destinations in the future. The Head of Melandrat believes that the work on Bung Karno's RTH can be completed on time. "Until today, the work on Bung Karno's green space has reached more than 60 percent, we are confident that the work can be completed on time,"

Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Monitors Bali Aga Area in Buleleng

In the context of monitoring the implementation of development and empowerment of National Priority Rural Areas (KPPN), the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK), conducted coordination meetings and field visits to Buleleng Regency online and offline which took place at Sunari, Lovina Beach Resort, Wednesday (22/9).

Nyoman Genep as Assistant III of Buleleng Regency who on this occasion represented the Regent of Buleleng said that in Buleleng nationally, the Central Government had identified potential villages as national priority areas. One of them is the Bali Aga Rural Area as one of the 62 National Priority Rural Areas.

“Previously we have participated in national competitions in these 5 villages, namely Sidetapa, Cempaga, Tigawasa, Pedawa, and Banyuseri (SCTPB) villages. Where these five villages are Bali Aga Rural Areas, and we won 1st place in the Responsive Innovation Fund (RIF) program. On this basis, the Kemenfo KMP and other elements of the Ministry will strengthen what potentials need to be developed,” he said.

It was further explained that the targets to be achieved by the Kemenfo KMP came to Bali, especially in Buleleng to identify what problems would be raised to advance the 5 villages. Because these 5 villages in SCTPB are national priority rural areas.

Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy for Regional Development Equity at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK), Mustikorini Indrijatiningrum explained, our goal in holding this training is to ensure the implementation of this rural area can run well. This is certainly one of the national priorities so we need to jointly monitor and support it from both the Ministry and the Regional Government.

“It becomes very important how to collaborate so that the government, business, community, universities, and media can collaborate. How the media can also provide support to the community to take an active role in building and disseminating information in rural areas. These are all important points for us as the basis for carrying out coordination meetings in Buleleng,” he explained.

At the end of the event, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture also gave souvenirs to the Buleleng Regency Government and distributed masks to 5 SCTPB village representatives.

Sekda Suyasa Monitoring the Implementation of “PeduliLindung” in Offices

Following the instructions from the Central Government and the Bali Provincial Government, all SKPDs of the Buleleng Regency Government (Pemkab) are required to install a QR Code PeduliLindung at the office entrance as an initial screening to prevent the spread of Covid-19 . Related to that, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Buleleng Regency, Drs. Gede Suyasa, M.Pd conducted monitoring of the three SKPDs, Tuesday (21/9).

During his visit, Regional Secretary Suyasa assessed that further improvements were still needed in implementing the PeduliLindung application. Especially in offices that have a service function to the community. “Of the three offices that provide public services, all of them have installed the PeduliLindung barcode. Just needs a few more refinements. For example, some visitors have not downloaded the PeduliLindung application, this must be assisted to check the position in question. Either green, red or black," he said.

Sekda Suyasa emphasized operators or guards at the entrance of public services.
