Pursuing Blood Bag Target, Deputy Regent Sutjidra Believes End of Year Completed
Deputy Regent of Buleleng, dr. I Nyoman Sutjidra believes the target of 12,000 bags of blood can be met by the end of this year. In the next three months, the West Buleleng area will be the focus of the fulfillment of three thousand bags of blood from the community. This was revealed by Deputy Regent Sutjidra after attending the Blood Donor Festival in the series of PMI's 76th Anniversary at the Blood Donor Unit (UDD) of PMI Buleleng, Saturday (18/9).
Based on data from PMI Buleleng, to date, the target for blood needs in Buleleng has only reached 9,000 blood bags. It takes another 3,000 bags of blood to reach the target. “The target of 12,000 bags of blood is adjusted to the need for blood in all hospitals as many as 35 bags. Therefore, we will pursue these 3,000 bags of blood by targeting East Buleleng," said Deputy Regent Sutjidra.
He added that meeting the need for blood was very important, especially in the conditions of a pandemic and dengue fever. Deputy Regent Sutjidra hopes that public awareness can be encouraged to participate in blood donation.
According to him, educating the public is very important. Therefore PMI Buleleng was asked to work extra to socialize that blood donation is very important to help others and also provide health for the body. As is the case in the western region of Buleleng, the people understand the importance of donating blood very well, especially since various community activities are always accompanied by blood donation activities.
“Hopefully, with regular education, people will be motivated to donate blood. This is all for the sake of our common interest and also our health together," said Deputy Regent Sutjidra.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Indonesian Blood Donor Association (PDDI) Bali, Ketut Pringgatara, said that he would collaborate to provide education to the people of Buleleng, especially in the eastern region of Buleleng.
In addition, his party also expressed his appreciation for the construction of the UDD PMI Buleleng building. "People will no longer be afraid to donate blood to hospitals, now there is UDD PMI for a comfortable place to donate blood for the community," concluded Ketut Priggantara.
Quick Response Use “PeduliLindung”, 200 Users Have Been Sent
A quick response was carried out by the Regency Covid-19 Handling Task Force in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 by socializing the use of the PeduliLindung application at every office entrance, tourist destination, hotel, and restaurant. As a result, as of today, Sunday (19/9), as many as 200 users have been sent to get the PeduliLindung QR Code. This was conveyed by the Coordinator for Data and Information of the Buleleng Covid-19 Task Force, Ketut Suwarmawan in his office.
The use of the PeduliLindung application is very important to be applied to every type of company, be it private or government. Ketut Suwarmawan explained, a total of 200 users have been sent to the PeduliLindung website to get the QR Code as soon as possible. "Of that number, it is still dominated by the SKPD of the Buleleng Regency Government, dozens of others are from hotel companies, restaurants, villas, and tourist destinations," he explained.
Seeing this positive development, Ketut Suwarmawan invites all Buleleng people who have medium to high businesses to immediately register on the PeduliLindung application in order to obtain a QR Code. This is important as a strategic step to prevent the spread of Covid-19. "If you have implemented the PeduliLindingi application, then everyone who enters will be automatically selected by the application. So only people who are free of Covid-19 and have been vaccinated can enter," he said.

Meanwhile, related to the development of the handling of Covid-19 in Buleleng, today there are 11 patients who have been declared cured and have been discharged. Most of them came from Tejakula District as many as 4 people, 3 people from Buleleng, 2 people from Sukasada, and 1 person each from Banjar and Sawan. “The recovery rate of patients is still higher than the entry of new confirmed cases today. Hopefully, the development of handling Covid-19 will continue to improve, so that this pandemic can be quickly passed," concluded Ketut Suwarmawan.
