A total of 813 land certificates were handed over to residents of Sumberklampok
After decades of conflict, the residents of Sumberklampok Village can finally smile with relief. This is because the status of the land they occupy has now become clear with the receipt of 813 land certificates.
The handover of the land certificate was carried out by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in conjunction with Agrarian and Spatial Planning Day on Wednesday (22/9) virtually from the Bogor Palace and attended by Bali Governor I Wayan Koster, Buleleng Regent Putu Agus Suradnyana, and Deputy Regent Buleleng I Nyoman Sutjidra.
Through his remarks, Jokowi said he did not want agrarian conflicts to continue in Indonesia in the absence of legal certainty for the people, especially farmers and fishermen in the status of land ownership.
For this reason, he hopes that through the certificates that have been distributed, residents can calmly occupy and cultivate land that is already their right.
Jokowi also promised that if he came to Bali he would take the time to visit Sumberklampok Village to see the land that has been productively used by residents.
Meanwhile, Governor Koster was grateful that the residents of Sumberklampok Village, who had fought for 61 years over the ownership of the land they occupied, now have legal certainty.
This struggle, said Koster, was not a short process, as the Governor of Bali, he intensively coordinated with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning to fight for the rights of the residents of Sumberklampok Village through the Agrarian Reform policy.
The land that has been certified and given to residents free of charge is expected by Koster to give residents peace of mind in working on the land so that they are more prosperous.
