Bali Ngurah Rai Airport Passengers Up 8 Percent
The number of passengers at Ngurah Rai Airport in the period August 2021 is slowly increasing.
General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai Airport, Herry A.Y Sikado said that during August 2021 it served 89,963 passengers arriving and departing.
When compared with the total passengers served in July 2021, there was an 8 percent increase. Ngurah Rai Airport during July 2021 served 82,758 passengers.
Interestingly, if passengers board, there is a decrease in the number of planes carrying passengers.
"In July 2021 there were 1,164 aircraft movements. While in August there were 1,069 movements. The percentage decreased by 8 percent," explained Herry through a press release, Friday (3/9).
Herry further explained, during the PPKM period, Ngurah Rai Airport will continue to operate in accordance with the policies set by the government.
The highest number of arrivals was on August 27, namely 2,357 passengers and 2,681 passengers on August 29 for departures.
"The three airlines carrying the most passengers are Citilink Indonesia with 47,682 passengers, Garuda Indonesia carrying 17,956 passengers, and Batik Air carrying 12,579 passengers," explained Herry.
Herry added that for eight months in 2021 Ngurah Rai Airport served 1,843,670 departing and arriving passengers. This number when compared to 2020 decreased by 25 percent.
Regarding the completeness of flight requirements to make it easier for passengers, Ngurah Rai Airport is an example of implementing the PeduliLindung application.
Through this application, all flight requirements documents are digitally integrated, so passengers don't need to carry paper documents anymore.
In addition, it also reduces direct contact between officers and the inspection process is not too long.
In the PeduliLindung application, there are vaccination documents and Covid-19 tests as well as filling out an electronic Health Alert Card (eHAC).
To make the trip smooth, Ngurah Rai Airport has prepared a special lane for PeduliLindung application users.
His party has also provided Covid-19 test services at the former Wisti Sabha Building at Ngurah Rai Airport. The PCR test costs IDR 495 thousand and the Rapid test Antigen IDR 99 thousand.
"We are trying to support this PPKM policy, synergizing with relevant stakeholders. We urge all prospective passengers to pay attention to the flight conditions imposed by the government," he said.

BIN Bali Supports the Buleleng Vaccination Program
