To improve the competence of the workforce in Buleleng Regency, the Yogyakarta Center for Human Resources Development and Communication and Information Research (BPSDMP Kominfo) held Training and Certification in the Field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI).
The training, which was attended by 50 high school/vocational and Diploma 3 graduates in Buleleng Regency, took place at Banyualit Spa & Resort and lasted for 5 days starting from Monday (20/9). Involving teaching staff from the Bali State Polytechnic for two ICT expertise competencies.
The activity was officially opened by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Buleleng Regency Gede Suyasa representing the Regent of Buleleng on Tuesday (21/9) marked by the embedding of participant marks to two participant representatives.
Through his opening remarks, Suyasa positively welcomed the training activity organized by BPSDMP Kominfo Yogyakarta because it can improve the competence of the ICT workforce in the Buleleng Regency.
"We know that ICT is currently very prominent in its use for life, especially when it comes to entering the world of work at this time, the requirement to master ICT is indeed one of the most needed requirements," explained the Regional Secretary, who once served as Head of the Buleleng Regency Education, Youth and Sports Office.
Suyasa added that especially in the private sector, it is not enough for the workforce to only have education certificates, but they are also required to have qualified competencies.
For this reason, he emphasized how important it is for the workforce to have a certificate from an official certification body, especially one guaranteed by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) as proof of having qualified competence.
"The certificate of competence given to them is a guarantee that their competence is reliable and can be utilized by the employer or company," he added.
Suyasa hopes that the training will run smoothly and the participants can study the material well so that they can pass the certification test.
Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Division of Administration and Researcher for BPSDMP Kominfo Yogyakarta, Suwarto, said that in organizing this training, his party collaborated with the Bali State Polytechnic in providing materials for Junior Network Administrator (JNA) and Data Management System (DMS).
"If JNA is related to the network, DMS is more directed to the office so that activities are related to offices," added Suwarto.
As for professional certification, his party involved an independent and credible LSP ICT Surabaya in providing professional certification exams.
"What is declared competent is mastering the science according to the field," concluded Suwarto.

Kominfo will stop broadcasting analog TV starting next year which is divided into three stages, starting April 30, 2022. The target for digital TV broadcasts to broadcast throughout Indonesia on November 2, 2022.
