Down to Level 3, Bali Prepares to Welcome Flights from Singapore
The central government has announced that starting September 14, 2021, the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Bali will be lowered to level 3.
This is in line with the decline in new cases of COVID-19, increasing recovery rates, decreasing hospitalization rates, and decreasing mortality rates.
Bali tourism actors invite the public to maintain positive trends in the development of COVID-19 cases on the Island of the Gods. This is to build market confidence so that international tourism gates can be opened in mid-October or early November 2021 with Singapore Airlines flights.
"Singapore Airlines (SQ) has released that they will fly to Bali November 2021 7 times a week (daily flights). This is certainly a very positive signal for Bali, but they must maintain strict health protocols so that the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic does not occur. ," said Deputy Chairperson of the Bali Chamber of Commerce for Accommodation and Tourism Development, Made Ramia in a short me, Wednesday (15/9/2021).

Ramia explained that the extension of the PPKM status in Bali which was lowered from level 4 to level 3 was indeed a breath of fresh air for practitioners and the tourism industry in Bali.
The level of visits to Bali has begun to increase after the easing and opening of tourist destinations (DTW), tourism areas, and shopping centers in Bali.
"Affordable ticket prices and fairly cheap hotel rates are a very good opportunity for domestic tourists to visit Bali while helping the Balinese people who have been slumped for almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Ramia.
Ramia also explained that now there is an increase in the arrival of domestic tourists to the Island of the Gods. During the emergency PPKM, visits to Bali ranged from 400 to 600 people per day.
Especially after the requirement for rapid antigen testing is allowed for passengers who have been vaccinated twice, the number of visits increased to 3,500 to 4,500 people per day.
"The decline in exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic and the death rate in Bali also makes a bit of a sigh of relief, so we all hope that this good trend condition can foster confidence in the domestic market to visit Bali," Ramia hoped. This has been done so that the increase in tourist visits to Bali does not lead to an increase in COVID-19 cases. One of them is by administering two vaccines to almost 70 percent of residents in Bali, which will automatically form herd immunity.
In addition, the protocol for cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability (CHSE) has also been carried out and has almost reached 3,000 tourism business points. , tourist areas, tourist transportation, Ngurah Rai Airport, and shopping centers.
"Of course, the support of the community and tourists is needed, their cooperation is needed to maintain this positive trend with discipline in using prokes to avoid a third wave," he concluded.
