Isuzu Panther Sold for Only Rp. 30 Million, Following Year and Type
Although it is no longer produced, the Isuzu Panther is still in great demand by consumers. With an affordable price, it seems that the Isuzu Panther is suitable to be used as a family car.
Until now, Isuzu Panther units can still be found on the streets.
This former Isuzu Panther unit is still being hunted by fans. Muhamad Yadi, the owner of the Abadi Jaya used car dealer in Pamulang, South Tangerang, Thursday (7/10/2021).
"Even though the new type is no longer being produced, the used Isuzu Panther is still in demand." open Yadi.
"Especially the old year, manual transmission," continued Yadi.
Regarding the price tag, the used Isuzu Panther of the past year is friendly to the contents of the pocket. To support consumers in Indonesia, Isuzu is ready to provide spare parts for Panther in the long term.
As is known, the Isuzu Panther has been officially 'deadly injected' by Isuzu in February 2021.
This model is one of the very few iconic brands in Indonesia. This is because this multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) car with a diesel engine was first launched in 1991.
30 years ago, Isuzu directly produced it locally from the start.
Although the unit is no longer for sale, Isuzu still guarantees the availability of Panther parts for consumers who need them.
Marketing Division Head PT. Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia, Attias Asril said, in fact, normatively manufacturers are required to provide spare parts for 8-10 years after the Panther 'passes away'.
Cars Are Undersold in Indonesia
The government is still enforcing a 100% exemption from Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (PPnBM) until the end of this year as a stimulus for the automotive industry in the country, which had been "destroyed" since the beginning of the pandemic last year.
As a result, car sales are gradually recovering and are increasing compared to last year. In August 2021, car sales recorded the highest sales record throughout 2021 with a record of 83,319 units, rocketing 123.5% year-on-year (YoY). Meanwhile, sales for the January-August period rose 68.19% YoY.
The total sales of cars that were given incentives for exemption from PPnBM were 34,059 units, up 119% YoY with an average growth of each model reaching 628.7% on an annual basis. given incentives for exemption from PPnBM 100% from the government. The following is a list of cars that have minimal interest even though they get a 100% PPnBM discount incentive:
1. Nissan Livina
The Nissan Livina is the car model with the most sales in August 2021. The Livina is included in the list of cars that receive 100% PPnBM incentives.
Nissan Livina sales in August 2021 were recorded at 275 units, down 95.7% compared to August 2020 sales of 6,338 units. Meanwhile, cumulative sales from January-August 2021 decreased by 89.7% compared to the same period in 2020. The VE and VL types which were the main sales were eroded by 97% and 93% compared to sales in August 2020.
2. Honda Brio RS
Cars that are predicted to dominate the youth segment have slumped in sales in August 2021. It seems that the 100% PPnBM discount still hasn't been able to lift Brio's sales.
Sales of the Honda Brio RS in August 2021 were recorded at 888 units, down 1.6% compared to August 2020 sales of 902 units. Meanwhile, cumulative sales from January-August 2021 fell 0.4% compared to the same period in 2020.
3. Daihatsu Terios
Daihatsu Terios did not experience a decline in sales. But its growth lags behind other cars that can record growth of hundreds to thousands of percent. Moreover, Terios launched a new type, namely Terios IDS, which has not been able to significantly boost Terios sales.
Sales of Daihatsu Terios in August 2021 were recorded at 1,276 units, up 7.2% compared to August 2020 sales of 1,190 units. Meanwhile, cumulative sales from January-August 2021 fell 7.6% compared to the same period in 2020. If the Terios IDS type is not counted, Terios sales in August 2021 fell 29% YoY. Sales of the X, R, and custom types in August 2021 were recorded at 919 units. As for August 2020, 1,190 units were recorded.
Many factors make the growth of cars stagnate, one of which is the intense competition for cars and competing for the market. In addition, consumer tastes are also a factor for sales growth. So, it's only natural that manufacturers are diligent in issuing new types that adapt to market tastes.
