Telkomsel Orbit Data Package Price
The cellular operator Telkomsel has launched the Telkomsel Orbit service in July 2020. The orbit itself is a home internet service based on a WiFi modem. Since its launch, customers can usually buy four variants of the special Telkomsel Orbit data package with promo prices, starting from the cheapest Rp. 20,000 for a 10 GB data package, to the most expensive 130,000 for 100 GB. Now, entering September 2021, Telkomsel Orbit provides a two-data package scheme with a new price, namely the package price for the first three months after modem activation, and the package price for the fourth month, and so on.
This year, we have a new data plan variant. In the past, there were only four, and promotions continued throughout the year," said Head of Home LTE Project Telkomsel, Arief Pradetya in a virtual event, Wednesday (29/9/2021) afternoon. Arief explained that the package price scheme for the first three months after Orbit modem activation, still the same as the price of the previous Orbit data package, as follows. Package validity period
Price Orbit 10 GB 7 Days IDR 20,000
Orbit 30 GB 30 Days IDR 65,000
Orbit 50 GB 30 Days Rp 80,000
Orbit 100 GB 30 Days IDR 130,000
However, for the four-month data plan from activation onwards, this has now changed. This change applies to data package purchases starting September 2021. As compiled from the official MyOrbit blog, specifically for 100 GB, 150 GB, and 250 GB Orbit data packages, currently cannot be purchased using credit. Customers can only purchase the data package using other payment methods, including digital wallet balances or bank transfers. The reason for presenting the new package scheme, Arief explained, is that the variants and package prices for the first three months after modem activation have always been sold at promo prices for the past year. The original price of the four variants of the data package is twice as expensive as the listed price. In detail, the normal prices for the four packages are IDR 40,000 (10 GB), IDR 130,000 (30 GB), IDR 165,000 (50 GB), and 260,000 (100 GB). However, Arief said that Telkomsel did not want to sell the normal price Orbit data package variant. "We saw the usage of our customers and decided not to sell the non-promo. We made a lot of adjustments, and we looked for which one was the most suitable or preferred by the customer and sold it at a more economical price," said Arief. In addition to presenting new package variants, it is now easier for customers to purchase special data packages for Telkomsel Orbit. According to Arief, in the past, customers could only buy data packages for fashion
