Although the government has provided tax amnesty facilities in 2016-2017 ago, in reality there are still many entrepreneurs who do not want to declare their assets.

Deputy Chairperson of the Fiscal and Public Policy Division of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Suryadi Sasmita, revealed that during the implementation of Tax Amnesty Volume I, of the target 10 million participants who took part, only 1 million participated in the tax amnesty.

The reason, said Suryadi at this time there was concern that the policy was only a government trap. Now, said Suryadi, until now there are still many rich people who put their funds or assets in safes.

"There are still many hidden rich people who put them under their pillows, who put them in safes," he told CNBC Indonesia when contacted.

Said Suryadi at this time there are still many entrepreneurs who keep their wealth abroad. However, these assets are in the form of business investments. Therefore, the wealth of most entrepreneurs abroad is the result of the business they do abroad, not deliberately hidden.

"Because all entrepreneurs are usually always looking for opportunities. If there is an opportunity there, of course, take the opportunity there," he said.

"So, if you say there are many or not, yes there are many. But, that does not mean that wealth is black (illegal). If the assets (national entrepreneurs) abroad are mostly white," said Suryadi again.
