The latest Suzuki Swift Sport has changed its appearance completely, the power is also greater

The news that Suzuki is developing the latest generation of Swift is indeed widely heard. Including the possibility of a Suzuki Swift Sport 2022 reappearing. But what is the approximate shape?

Quoted from Bestcarweb, the latest Swift Sport is expected to appear around the summer of 2023 or roughly June-September. But all of that is just a prediction. Because the actual information is still kept tightly by Suzuki.

However, this page tries to illustrate what the latest Suzuki Swift Sport will look like. This rendering was made based on some information that their team got from Suzuki insiders, but it cannot be fully disclosed for the sake of a commitment to maintaining company confidentiality. As before, Swift Sport is often brought up after the release of the regular Swift. Likewise for this new model. Because the Suzuki Swift will experience a full model change in July 2022. And then a year later, it was the turn of the Swift Sport that was born.

Of course, Swift Sport will also experience a total change compared to its predecessor. Not only from the exterior and interior but also from the engine technology and completeness of its features. His face is aggressive, far from the front fascia of the previous model.

The headlights will change with a new LED design that is integrated with Daytime Running Light (DRL). Then the shape of the front grille will also be revised. Then the bumper is also carved more aggressively. Then to the side of the fender room is now spiked with air grilles. Then there is also the addition of side skirts and the installation of large diameter wheels which are likely to be installed in a size of 16-17 inches. The silhouette of the body also looks more like a European hot hatch.

While at the back there is an additional roof spoiler. As well as the bumper and taillights which will also experience design changes. Including the installation of a new diffuser. Other interesting information that must also be explored is about new technology in terms of the specifications of the Suzuki Swift Sport 2022. Because this car will likely be added an electric motor which is paired with a 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine.

Swift Sport with a mild-hybrid engine is not new. Because this specification has appeared in Europe since May 2020 and then marketed also in Japan and other Asian countries. However, it is estimated that there will be a slight re-tuning, including increasing the ability of the electrical system so that the engine can produce more power. If you look at the specifications of the Swift Sport in Europe, the turbo engine is capable of producing 129 PS of power plus the power of the electric motor of 13 PS. However, it is estimated that the new engine will create a total power output of a little over 160 PS but the torque will change quite a lot since low revs.

This machine is also reportedly still be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic. Suzuki is believed to not be using a CVT transmission for the Swift Sport. Then for the platform used, it is also possible to continue to use HEARTECT even though many rumors say Suzuki is developing a new platform for the Swift. Given the use of a mild hybrid system and significantly reduced fuel consumption, Swift Sport in Europe and Japan gets tax breaks. As a result, this car in its home country is priced at around 1.8 million yen. This is approximately IDR 235 million.

But for the price of the latest Suzuki Swift Sport, there will inevitably be an increase. Moreover, apart from the engine, the safety features will also be more complete than the previous model. However, this car is probably not set to be more expensive than 2 million Yen (Rp. 251 million) for the lowest variant. Meanwhile, the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV, the First Swift Family Hybrid Version in ASEAN for Rp. 1 Billion!

Suzuki Swift Sport 2021 has been officially presented in Singapore, it is indeed slower than the version in Malaysia. However, the Suzuki Swift Sport 2021 in Singapore is a mild hybrid version/Mild Hybrid (MHEV) 48V which is the first version in ASEAN. This engine can produce 129 PS of power with 235 Nm of torque. Furthermore, the engine on the Suzuki Swift Sport is connected to a 48V hybrid system (MHEV).

But for sure, according to regulations in Singapore, the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV has lower specifications than the version in Malaysia. Suzuki Swift Sport has to follow pretty strict Euro 6d emission regulations. The emissions produced by the Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid reach 127 g/km, of course, less than the previous version of 135 g/km. However, the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV version that is present in Singapore is only available in a 6-speed manual transmission.Unlike the Suzuki Swift Sport in Malaysia which comes with an automatic transmission. In terms of capabilities, Suzuki claims that the Suzuki Swift Sport with the addition of a 48V mild hybrid can go 100km/h in just 9.1 seconds.

Another note that is also proud of the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV is the fuel consumption which is certainly more efficient than the standard version. Suzuki Swift Sport mild hybrid only requires 4.71 liters of fuel to cover 100 km or 1 liter of gasoline can cover a distance of 21.2 km.

While the standard Suzuki Swift Sport, which does not use hybrid technology, consumes 6.1 liters/100 km or 16.3 km/liter of fuel. Of course the comparison of the fuel consumption of the two is very different. For the Singapore version of the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV, there is no difference from the one present in Malaysia. The part that looks different lies in the size of the wheels, the Suzuki Swift Sport mild hybrid in Singapore uses 17-inch alloy wheels, like the version in Japan. As for the version in Malaysia is still 16 inches.

While other parts are still the same, including the front grille, carbon accented touches to the exhaust tips that make the Suzuki Swift Sport look sporty.

For safety matters, of course, Suzuki Swift Sport is very concerned about the safety factor for the driver and passengers. By adopting Suzuki Safety Support ADAS, which consists of Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS, camera + AEB radar), Radar Brake Support (RBS, radar-based AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW). Weaving Alert (driver alert system), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

Of course, with these various features, the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV has quite capable capabilities. For the official price, the 2021 Suzuki Swift Sport is offered for SGD 109,900 or IDR 1.1 billion. More expensive than the Suzuki Swift Sport MHEV, which entered directly without the intervention of Suzuki Singapore for IDR 810 million to IDR 1 billion.
