Developed Countries Amid Pandemic Conditions
It has been 1.5 years that the countries in the world have been hit by a pandemic that has killed millions of people around the world. All countries in the world are now embracing each other in their struggle to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the economic sector in all countries is also collapsing, both developed and developing countries have serious problems in the health sector and the economic sector. Singapore and Japan will be my focus this time because both countries are quite advanced in the fields of economy, health, and others. Let's look at Singapore first, I think that the country does not lack anything, the economy is stable even though it was hit by the recession, Singapore still has state treasury reserves, besides that Singapore also has complete health facilities and hospitals that can accommodate covid patients, but in fact, the case of covid in Indonesia Singapore has jumped dramatically recently even though Singapore is trying to implement herd immunity. Herd immunity is a form of indirect protection from infectious diseases that occurs when most humans become immune to infection, either through previous infections, so that individuals who are not immune are also protected. faced by Japan is different from that of Singapore. The problem facing Japan today is more in the economic sector where many Japanese companies have gone out of business, and many workers have been laid off. Many people think that developed countries such as Singapore and Japan can solve health and economic problems, but in reality, developing countries like Indonesia can overcome them. The Indonesian government is considered smart in overcoming these problems. The government's clever way of dealing with this problem is the implementation of emergency PPKM, where the community must apply regulations, namely, no crowds, only going out as necessary, restrictions in public places, and so on. As a result, the implementation of PPKM has succeeded in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases, and Indonesia is also considered very good in overcoming this pandemic in addition to carrying out vaccinations in all regions in Indonesia. Due to Indonesia's success in reducing the number of covid 19, several countries such as the Philippines and Malaysia have tried the same method the Indonesian government did to reduce the number of covid 19 cases. Indonesia is collapsing to near recession and Indonesian citizens should be grateful to live in Indonesia because not all countries can overcome problems like the ones above, even developed countries almost collapse because this pandemic will not end.
1. The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Health, has taken various steps to prevent the entry of COVID-19 into Indonesian territory, namely:
Issue circulars to all Provincial and District/City Health Offices, Referral Hospitals, Port Health Offices (KKP), and Environmental Health Engineering Centers (BTKL), to increase awareness and preparedness in dealing with the possibility of entering this disease.
Placing 135 thermal scanners at all airports in Indonesia, especially those with direct flights from the People's Republic of China (PRC).
Provide health alert cards and Communication, Information, and Education (KIE) to passengers.
Appoint at least 100 Referral Hospitals previously used for bird flu cases and prepare 21 evacuation capsules (patient isolation push tables) as a precautionary measure.
2. The Ministry of Health opens service contacts that can be accessed by the public to seek information about the coronavirus. The information service numbers that can be contacted are 0215210411 and +6281212123119.
